to your area? Need a priestess for your handfasting or other life-passage
ceremony? Below are listed some of the many kinds of gatherings and
events Shekhinah has offered or facilitated over the years. Chatroom

HEALING CIRCLES: Beyond the usual one-on-one forms of healing there is the incredible power of group psychic healing. Miracles can happen, the "incurable" can be cured. Length varies.
TRYSTINGS, HANDFASTINGS, WEDDINGS: Rituals to honor and bless the connection between true lovers. For lovers of every gentle gender. These events are designed according to your needs and preferences. At least one planning meeting required.
INITIATIONS AND ORDINATIONS To acknowledge and welcome new Witches and Priestesses; to bless and affirm their commitments. We design these ceremonies together. Advance planning meetings required.
PERSONAL RITES OF PASSAGE: Birth, Death, Change, Parting, New Love, Menarche, Croning (Menopause), New Home, Wiccaning or....? Call or email us and tell us what you need. We design these ceremonies together. Advance planning required.
HOLY DAYS: Celebrating Moons, Solstices, Cross-Quarter Days, Equinoxes, and so on. Hallowe'en, Winter Solstice, Brigid (Candlemas), Spring Equinox, Beltane, Summer Solstice, Lammas (Harvest), Autumn Equinox... Pre-designed or mutually created rituals.
CLASSES AND WORKSHOPS FOR WOMEN
(Ongoing classes in person or online begin when at least five women have signed up and made a firm commitment. Or, Shekhinah can come to your group or area to facilitate workshops, classes and rituals. Contact us to register or make arrangements.)
GROVES: Small circles of Goddess energy, study, practice, sisterhood, magic, ritual, feminist awareness and mutual empowerment. A training ground for budding witches that can also deepen into covens, friendships, community, activism and advanced magical work. Materials covered in ARIADNE'S THREAD, plus many other topics as they arise. Up to thirteen weekly meetings with an option to continue and deepen.
THE EIGHTFOLD GODDESS: This is a ritual in which eight priestesses portray the eight Goddesses of the holy year. Each leads the circle in a ceremony based on the Theme of Her holiday. Weekend event, beginning with the following class:
SEASONAL MAGIC: A three-hour workshop on the Goddess Holy Days as Women's Mysteries: Birth, Blood, Passion, Milk, Menopause, Death, Rebirth, and Inspiration. Calendar-making, Music, Discussion, and Ritual.
LOVE MAGIC: Mythic, Mystical and Magical ways to understand loverships and healing hearts. Love spells and psychic journeying into Love's Mysteries with Aphrodite and the Faerie Queen. Gender Freedom, Sacred Sexuality... All Day or Weekend Workshop... or can be expanded into a class of several meetings.
LUNAR MAGIC: Making round moon calendars, tuning into the powers of Luna, Moon myths, Moonblood, Moon ritual. Three hours, all day, or weekend.
WOMANRUNES: Learning Shekhinah's Runes, Writing and "Spelling" in Runes, Rune Names, Bindrunes, Making Runesets, Runing or Divination with Runes. Three hours or all day.
SHEKHINAH'S TAROT: Learning and comparing traditional Tarot and Shekhinah's Tarot decks...Tarot songs...Tarot Theary and Thealagie...Tarot Divination...Coloring the Cards. Three hours or all day.
RADICAL MAGIC: Respell the World through Spiritual Activism. How can we use magic for peaceful loving change? Actualize the vision? Be the alternative? This class focuses on Self, Community, the Planet, our Relationships, and the Universe or Goddess, in allignment with the five elements of Air, Fire, Earth, Water and Spirit. Exploring each to discover where patriarchy has crept in, casting spells to transform them. Join Shekhinah in search of solutions. Together we can do anything! 13 Weekly Meetings
LIVING WITCHILY: A pass-the-rattle circle for discussing ways to resist the fact of patriarchy in our daily lives. Exploring our choices in spending money, the food we eat, the work we do, the time we spend, the way we garden or keep our homes, the way we treat each other or allow ourselves to be treated, what we prioritize, how we communicate, and so on. Looking for ways to respond to the conventions that oppress us and replace them with freedom, magic and creativity. Three hour meeting.
POPPETS: Poppets are witch dolls made to embody spells. Conceiving, Creating, Dressing, Naming, Empowering, Consecrating, Blessing and Bringing Dolls to Life. Weekend.
RITUAL THEATRE CLASSES
AND PERFORMANCES
Ritual theatre is one of the most ancient of sacred events, made to bring understanding, enchantment, transformation and exaltation to the community circle. All theatre began as ritual. Some of the earliest ceremonies consisted of enactments of the myths of the Goddess. Often these were performed with silent mime and dance with music and poetic narrative or song. Shekhinah has designed, directed and performed this type of ritual theatre for many years. Here are some of the pieces she and her students and friends have offered:
MYTH OF THE KORE: A new version of the Demeter and Persephone Mother/Daughter Mysteries in chanted verse and song. The goddess journeys through Her Passions of Birth, Love and Death... (Myth is on CD and Cassette; click HERE for info)...This piece invites group participation and is great for Rites of Spring.
A WINTER SOLSTICE LEGEND: A new myth to replace /reclaim patriarchal metaphors of the season, with the Divine Child (female!) being born of the Moon Mother. This piece is made for children and includes music composed by Shekhinah's son Frey when he was seven. (Also available on CD or Cassette.) The play can be done simply or with elaborate pageantry and participation.
THE BURIED MOON: An epic poem that tells of the Moon Goddess coming down from the sky. This beautiful folktale has been transposed into a poetic narrative and song. Can be done with dancers and/or circle participation. (Also on CD and Cassette.)
WITCH'S CHOICE: A ballad of the women who walked into the sea during the Burning Times. A poignant retelling in song with a powerful Oceana chorus. Takes everyone through the Wave of our Mother for healing and transformation. (On CD and Cassette "Witch-A-Way") Has both individual and group choreography.
